Collection: Tapered Square

Tapered Square Overhead Hanging Banner System

An overhead hanging sign is a fabric structure suspended above your trade show booth so your brand is visible from across the hall. This tapered square system narrows from top to bottom, so it reads clearly from every aisle. We stock 68 configurations from $1,576, in widths of 8 to 20 feet and heights of 2 to 6 feet, made in the USA with 3-business-day production.

The tapered profile is what separates this system from a flat trade show hanging sign. Because the four faces angle inward, visitors approaching from any direction see two panels at once rather than one flat side, so the sign reads as three-dimensional from a distance instead of disappearing edge-on.

Overhead trade show sign sizes and configurations

Every overhead hanging trade show sign in this collection is built to order in one of 35 size combinations:

  • Widths: 8 ft, 10 ft, 12 ft, 14 ft, 16 ft, 18 ft and 20 ft
  • Heights: 2 ft, 3 ft, 4 ft, 5 ft and 6 ft
  • Printing: single-sided (printed outer panel with a white or black inner panel) or double-sided

An 8 ft × 2 ft single-sided graphic package starts at $1,576 and ships at 40 lbs. A 20 ft configuration reaches $11,184 and 205 lbs. Frames are available on their own from $659 if you already have graphics, and replacement graphics from $872 when your branding changes.

Hanging banner system frame construction

Two frame builds are used depending on span, and the difference matters when you are rigging a large trade show ceiling banner:

  • 12 ft wide and under — 30 mm (1⅛ in.) aluminum tubes with push-button connectors for fast, tool-free assembly.
  • 14 ft wide and over — 50 mm (2 in.) tubes with internal expanding spigot connectors for greater structural integrity across the longer span.

These hanging structures are engineer certified, and a structural engineer certificate is available on request — most convention centers require one before they will rig an overhead trade show sign of this size.

What is included with each overhead hanging sign

Each hanging banner system ships with the aluminum tube frame, zippered pillowcase graphics, hanging cables and liners. Graphics are dye-sublimated onto stretch fabric and hand-sewn, so they pack into a soft case with the frame and go back up show after show without creasing.

Rigging itself — the labor and hanging points — is ordered from and billed by the show, usually by weight and point count. Plan your budget around the shipping weight listed on each product page, not just the purchase price.

Choosing a trade show hanging sign size for your booth

An 8 to 10 ft structure suits a 10×10 or 10×20 booth. A 16 to 20 ft overhead hanging sign is island-booth scale, for 20×20 and larger. Before ordering, check your show's exhibitor manual: most halls permit trade show hanging signs above island booths only, and height limits are commonly 16 to 20 ft measured from the floor to the top of the sign.
